These new medium-cut, hi-strength aluminum oxide buffing discs can be used in a couple of ways prior to the sanding process. the first is in removing the coating from durabright/accushield rims. the second is in cleaning up badly oxidized and weathered diamond plate. since these discs are a bit flexible, We recommends using two discs side by side (referred to as stacking). Each disc is 8” in diameter and ½” thick. the center hole is ½”, but you can screw these on as it were a 5/8” arbor. Use these pads on a 3000 rpm polisher, using your flanges, just as you would a buffing wheel. Be sure to wear protective gear such as a mask, eye protection, and gloves.
